Homemade Pizza Dough

Having seeing mom make naans, tandoori rotis at home is what i will say inspired me to do this homemade pizza dough. And after browsing the web for sometime i came across this recipe which sounded perfect. I would encourage all of you to try this recipe which is extremely simple with outstanding results :)

Homemade Pizza Dough
Adapted from Simply Recipes 

Ingredients

2 1/2 cup maida
1 cup whole wheat flour or aata
1/4 cup olive oil ( you can use normal oil also if there is no olive oil)
1 1/3 cup warm water
2 1/2 teaspoon yeast
2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon orgeano ( optional, but i thought adding herbs would make the dough more flavourful)

  • Sieve together maida, aata and salt and keep aside
  • In warm water add yeast and let it sit for two minutes till it dissolves completely
  • Add oil to the yeast water and knead the dough with your hands using the solution
  • Put some oil on the dough and cover with plastic cling
  • Keep the dough in a warm place ( i keep it near refrigerator) and let the dough rise till it doubles. It usually takes 3-4 hours
  • You are all set to make your own wonderful pizza :)
